Refund policy
Returns, Cancellations & Refunds
This policy explains your rights when purchasing goods online from Ballybrack Medical Hall. It does not affect your statutory rights under Irish consumer law.
Online Orders – Your Right to Cancel
If you purchase eligible goods from us online, you normally have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason.
The cancellation period is 14 days from the day you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods. Where multiple goods from the same order are delivered separately, the 14-day period begins when the last of those goods is received.
You must tell us that you wish to cancel before the 14-day cancellation period expires. You can do this through the return and cancellation facility in your customer account or by contacting us with a clear statement that you wish to cancel:
Email: info@ballybrackmedicalhall.ie
Telephone: (01) 282 3587
Address: Ballybrack Medical Hall, 22 Church Road, Ballybrack, Killiney, Co. Dublin, A96 RP79, Ireland.
You may also use our Order Cancellation Form, but you are not required to use the form in order to exercise your right to cancel.
Returning Goods After Cancellation
After telling us that you wish to cancel, you must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day you notified us of your cancellation.
Eligible online purchases can be returned:
In store: Ballybrack Medical Hall, 22 Church Road, Ballybrack, Killiney, Co. Dublin, A96 RP79, Ireland.
or
By post or courier: to the same address above.
If you return the goods directly to our store, there is no return-postage charge. If you choose to return goods by post or courier, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning them.
We recommend using a secure and trackable return service.
You must take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession. You may be responsible for any reduction in their value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
Refunds Following Cancellation
If you validly cancel an eligible online order, we will reimburse the payments received from you for the cancelled goods, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option.
If you chose a more expensive delivery method than our least expensive standard delivery option, we are not required to refund the additional delivery cost.
Refunds will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision to cancel. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence that you have returned them, whichever occurs first.
Unless otherwise agreed, your refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction and you will not incur a fee from us for the reimbursement.
Please remember that your bank or card provider may take additional time to show the refund after we have processed it.
Exceptions to the Right to Cancel
The statutory right to cancel does not apply to certain contracts and goods. Relevant exceptions may include:
- goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
- goods made to your individual choice or specification or which are clearly personalised; and
- sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken after delivery.
Because Ballybrack Medical Hall sells medicines, healthcare, beauty and personal-care products, whether an exception applies depends on the nature and condition of the particular product. We do not apply a blanket exclusion to all beauty or personal-care products.
If you are unsure whether the statutory cancellation right applies to a particular product, please contact us.
Medicines
Medicines returned to Ballybrack Medical Hall cannot be returned to pharmacy stock or resold once they have previously been supplied. Returned or unwanted medicines are handled in accordance with pharmacy requirements and disposed of appropriately.
This does not limit any statutory rights you may have where a medicinal product supplied to you is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
Faulty, Damaged, Incorrect or Non-Conforming Goods
Your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise do not conform to your contract are separate from the online change-of-mind cancellation right described above.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you believe there is a problem with an item or if you have received an incorrect item.
Depending on the circumstances, Irish consumer law may entitle you to remedies including a refund, repair, replacement or price reduction. Where you exercise a statutory right to terminate the contract because goods do not conform to the contract, the appropriate return costs are borne by Ballybrack Medical Hall.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.
Exchanges
We do not operate a separate online exchange process. If you wish to purchase a different item, you can return an eligible item in accordance with this policy and place a new order for the item you require.
This does not affect your statutory rights or the remedies available where goods are faulty or non-conforming.
In-Store Purchases
The statutory 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right described above applies to eligible distance purchases, including eligible purchases made through our website.
We do not offer a general change-of-mind return policy for purchases made in our physical store.
This does not affect your statutory rights if goods purchased in store are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.
